Billy Todd & The Sixth Generation Featuring Walt Weiskopf at Club Bonafide

Every Tuesday night, some of New York City’s freshest talent comes together for a weekly jam session hosted by rising saxophonist, Billy Todd.

The jam session attracts some top name musicians including, but not limited to, Cyrille Aimee, Walt Weiskopf and club owner Richard Bona. But, it also attracts some of the soon-to-be’s from around the city – saxophonists, trumpet players, vocalists and more.

“The people who show up are playing at some of the top venues around the world,” said jam leader, Bill Todd, “but, I think they like coming to the jam because it gives them an opportunity to express themselves without the pressure of performing for the masses.”...

"Bonafide is a really great place to hear music and meet new people! When I went there for Bill’s jam, I discovered so many great musicians and had a lot of fun sitting in!” said French vocalist, Cyrille Aimee, “The hang went on until really late and I'm sure everyone went to sleep with a smile on their face.”

Each week, Billy Todd invites a well-known musician as a special guest. On Tuesday, March 1st, Steely Dan’s, Walt Weiskopf, will be the special guest. A schedule of special guests to be released soon.

The jam session is a must-see for anyone trying to get an honest taste of NYC’s best jazz and to see the top talent getting together to collaborate and make great music.
