Founded by saxophonist Wayne Escoffery, the Black Art Jazz Collective debuted at Dizzy’s Club in 2013 and has since become a vital force in the global jazz community. Its members, celebrated as both leaders and key contributors to ensembles led by legends like Wayne Shorter, Ron Carter, and Bobby Hutcherson, channel the spirit of groups like those of Jackie McLean, Miles Davis, and Art Blakey. For this performance, the BAJC presents selections from their latest albums, showcasing their timeless and innovative sound.
