House of Improv is excited to bring you the trio of Brandon Seabrook, Brandon Lopez and Gerald Cleaver.

Brandon Seabrook is an accomplished solo artist, named Best Guitarist in New York City by the Village Voice 2012. He has performed withAnthony Braxton, Nels Cline, The Flying Luttenbachersa, Mary Halvorson and Joey Arias. He is known for his idiosyncratic blend of spiked improvisation and severe technical facility. He has been profiled in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone, Downbeat, Fretboard Journal, NPR and The Wire.

Brandon Lopez is no stranger to the House of Improv. He appeared in this series with Urs Leimgruber and in a trio with Dave Rempis. Both shows were outstanding and this performance was his suggestion. Brandon has recently released a solo bass recording on Astral Spirits....

Gerald Cleaver is a product of Detroit's music tradition, and has taught jazz at the University of Michigan. His 2001 recording Adjust (Fresh Sound New Talent) was nominated in the Best Debut Recording category by the Jazz Journalists Association. Gerald appeared with Craig Taborn and Lotte Anker twice as part of the House of Improv series. We are delighted to have him back with us!
