We hope to see a new society of enlightenment and wisdom where creative thought becomes the most dominant force in all people's lives." Although Charlie Haden died in 2014 at age 76, Jazz Standard is proud to present the current iteration of his Liberation Music Orchestra. These performances will bring together veterans of the Haden-led groups - starting with the great Carla Bley (born 1936) - with players of succeeding generations, such as bassist Scott Colley.
