One of the top jazz bass players of our times, Christian McBride won a 2012 Grammy Award with his big band for The Good Feeling. Now, “one of jazz’s forthright pleasures,” according to The New York Times, brings his band to 92Y for an evening of jazz staples and original tunes. The confirmed line-up to-date includes Freddie Hendrix, Frank Greene, Nabate Isles and Brandon Lee (trumpet); Michael Dease and James Burton (trombone); Douglas Purviance (bass trombone); Carl Maraghi (baritone saxophone); Todd Bashore (alto saxophone); Loren Schoenberg and Ron Blake (tenor saxophone) Xavier Davis (piano); Ulysses Owens, Jr (drums); and Melissa Walker (vocals).
