DeBunk is an avant-jazz/trip-hop/noise collision comprised of Josh Henderson (violin), Dave Mainella (keyboard/electronics), DJ Hubcap (turntables), and Tiffany Chang (drums/poetry). DeBunk got its start in late 2011 when an epically ludicrous catastrophe resulted in three of its band members sharing a cramped living quarters. The group is inspired by disparate mythologies of creation and destruction, examining them through cycles of composition and free improvisation, live and recorded sounds, and poetic narratives. At the same time, it is reincarnation of hip hop in a contemporary sense, imparted by fluid instrumental backing and the vocal talents of satellite emcees....
