About
Drummer Austin Vaughn investigates and celebrates various acoustic phenomena, including overtones, sympathetic vibration, and interference beating via "extended" percussion techniques.
Vaughn earned his B.A. from Oberlin Conservatory where he studied with Billy Hart, Mike Rosen, and Jamey Haddad. A New Yorker since 2011, Vaughn has worked with Ashcan Orchestra, Cassandra Jenkins, Luke Temple, Pavo Pavo, Ron Shalom's Fers Yn Ri, Here We Go Magic, and more.
