Pianographique is a series of collaborations of real-time visual artist Cori O’Lan and Maki Namekawa. Unlike pre-recorded, synchronously played videos or prefabricated material, all graphic elements are derived directly from the acoustic material i.e. the sound of the music, thus accompanying and adapting to every single note throughout the performance.

This 60-minute program consists of works by contemporary composers from NY and Austria. The concert will feature two solo acts performed by pianists Maki Namekawa and Dennis Russell Davies and one four-hand piece. The event will also include a live performance of special guest, New York cellist and composer Rubin Kodheli. All acts will be accompanied by Cori O’Lan’s real-time digital creations....
