Dana Lyn, a Brooklyn based violinist and composer, inhabits a musical world somewhere in the Venn diagram of 70′s art rock, classical, traditional Irish and improvised music. Her recent album, Aqualude, dubbed “the subtlest eco-disaster album ever written (Lucid Culture),” is the result of endless daydreaming about what it would be like to live on the ocean floor. Helping her create the soundtrack to this feature-length dream are clarinetist Mike McGinnis, guitarist Jonathan Goldberger, cellist Clara Kennedy, and Vinnie Sperrazza on drums.
