After over two decades’ worth of Dave Liebman Group performances across the world (and nearly twenty albums), the poll-topping NEA Jazz Master saxophonist Liebman put together this exciting new band. Fitting in with jazz tradition–and honoring Miles Davis and Elvin Jones, who mentored Liebman in the 1970s–this group extends across generations and allows every member to both teach and learn from one another. The repertoire traverses elements of free jazz in addition to rearrangements of jazz standards infused with complex time signatures and harmonies popular with many of today’s younger jazz leaders.
