David Basse Feat. Gerald Trimble at The Cutting Room

The arts are booming in Kansas City. Vocalist David Basse has been at the forefront of the jazz and blues scene for years, while Gerald Trimble has been a leading figure on the celtic and folk scene there. The two diverse leaders now assemble a quartet of New York’s finest to join them at Manhattan’s Cutting Room for one night only on Friday, July 10th.

Bassist James Cammack is a member of the Ahmad Jamal Trio, which included New Orleans drummer Idris Muhammad. Cammack both records and tours with the trio. Drummer Matt Kane – whose “drumming elevates [the music] to the sublime” (JazzTimes) – will round out the band.

Great jazz with the addition of one of the most unique instrumentalists in the world. It’s an event event not to be missed!
