On a quiet friendly tree lined block, the amazing sound of Jazz comes alive from the Parlor area of an original styled Brownstone from the 1880's
Somewhere within the1800's a classic music was taking on a new birth, JAZZ. With the 2 creations of Jazz and Brownstones we've created our venue and named it BrownstoneJAZZ. A very unique Boutique Jazz Salon. Up close, intimate and personal experience, which presents a variety of jazz musicians for an authentic way of listening.
Featuring today's Best JAZZ ARTIST that continue the struggle of keeping alive for decades. These are the Jazz Artist that have played, studied, toured, jammed and recorded with major jazz creators. Hear them play while listening to some backstage truth of the past. Watch while some of these players are creating their own stories, yet to be told.
It's not common knowledge that many of the jazz tunes we hear today came about by musicians working together in a home setting before the music ever hit the scene. Created from the Streets of Bedford Stuyvesant.
This jazz performing and visual arts programs was designed to continue one of the historical legacies of the Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn Community, unrecognized of ever existing.
Ensambles are formed by BsJAZZ differently each week which allows for always expecting, a special evening of unexpected classic jazz standards creativity, and more.
