We’re celebrating the great canaries—the female vocalists who started with popular big bands such as Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, and Benny Goodman—who went on to spectacular solo careers after spreading their wings and creating their own sounds and style. It's a night of swinging tunes made famous by jazz canaries Billie Holiday, Anita O’Day, Lena Horne, Peggy Lee, Jo Stafford, Rosemary Clooney, Ella Fitzgerald, and others.
