About

Bassist and composer Iris Ornig's latest project is “Iris Ornig Reimagine Michael Jackson". Iris's intent is to interpret the music in new ways to honor "King of Pop" Michael Jackson, as only a jazz artist can. She twists tunes, shifts rhythms, explodes arrangements and explores new harmonies. In addition to Iris on bass,the band includes Jeremy Powell on tenor, Jonathan Powell on trumpet, Billy Test on piano and Allan Mednard on drums.
