At Harlem’s Floridita, along with tunes from On the Funky Side and their previous successful CD It’s a Jungle Out There, Jambalaya Brass Band will be performing other original New Orleans party and 2nd line favorites. The band’s foundation will be provided by Joe Exley on tuba, Taylor Floreth on drums—and this rhythm section cooks on high octane, so be sure to wear your dancing shoes! Filling out this tasty gumbo and adding the spice on top will be the trombone of Curtis Fowlkes, the trumpet of Saturo Ohashi, and the tenor sax of leader and founder Ric Frank, an alumnus of the Duke Ellington Orchestra.
