JazzKraut at the Iridium Jazz Club, Midtown West, at 8 and 10 pm, $25.

JazzKraut is not an established act, but a collaboration of 11 individually successful German Jazz musicians who have been part of the City´s jazz scene as well as touring internationally for many years. Curated by bass player/composer Iris Ornig, the program also includes singers Karen Kohler and Micaela Leon, pianists "Vana" Gierig and Axel Schwintzer, Max Schweiger on sax, Hendrik Meurkens on harmonica, guitarist Sebastian Noelle, bass player Martin Wind, and drummers Philipp Gutbrod and Christian Finger. Two different sets will be played and recorded for publication as a "Live" album.
