Jimmy Greenes rise to respected prominence began in 1999 when he was named one of DownBeat Magazines 25 Young Rising Stars in Jazz . The saxophonists mentors included Jackie McLean, Jim McNeely, and David Liebman; hes recorded and/or performed with such artists as Horace Silver, Freddie Hubbard, Harry Connick, Jr., and Kenny Barron, just to name a few.
