Grammy-nominated pianist, vocalist, and humorist Judy Carmichael, host of the long-running NPR show Jazz Inspired, is one of the leading interpreters of stride and swing piano—so much so that Count Basie nicknamed her “Stride.” Known for her soulful standards and quick-witted anecdotes, Carmichael joins her quartet to explore swing classics from Gershwin, Cole Porter, Peggy Lee, and Harold Arlen.
