New Orleans native Victor Goines, the superlative clarinetist-saxophonist with the JLCO for the last two decades, leads an all-star ensemble featuring trumpeters Marcus Printup and Kenny Rampton, trombonist Chris Crenshaw, banjoist Don Vappie, bassist Reginald Veal, and drummer Adonis Rose through a celebration of four of the founding fathers of jazz - Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet, Jelly Roll Morton, and King Oliver - whose early immersion in the musical culture of the Crescent City directly informed their musical production throughout their brilliant careers.
