This evening is the ensemble's release concert, announcing the release of Leni Stern's 20th full-length album, Jelell. The Leni Stern African Trio traces the path of jazz and rides its groove back to the source in West Africa before bringing it all back home again. Leni Stern has been awarded the Gibson Female Jazz Guitarist of the Year five times and was recently a featured soloist with the acclaimed Acoustic Africa tour. Her ensemble features Senegalese musicians Mamadou Ba and Alioune Faye. With opening band House of Waters.
