Little Red Top at Miles’ Café at NYFA Boot Camp Arts Festival

A night of blues with Little Red Top, a year-old ensemble made up of seasoned jazz musicians Rich Shemaria, accordion; Mike Richmond, cello; Dave Schroeder, harmonica; Bruce Arnold, lap slide guitar; and Rodrigo Recaberren, drums. (Shemaria, Schroeder and Richmond are also members of the improvisational jazz ensemble Combo Novo.) By using traditional blues instruments to perform original music influenced by classic Chicago, Delta and Cajun melodies, the band creates a sound rarely heard in New York.
