About
Litvakus is a 5-piece neo-traditional klezmer/ East European/ roots-jazz collective raising cultural awareness of Eastern European Jewish musical heritage through toe-tapping tunes, hearty songs, and virtuosic play. Most of the repertoire was discovered during Dmitri Zisl Slepovitch’s decade-long fieldwork and archival research carried out in the region.
Litvakus will perform at the Klezmer Brunch weekly series at City Winery, combining live music and food in a fresh cultural environment.
