ABOUT THE ARTIST: Brooklyn native Mat Maneri is known internationally as one of the most versatile and virtuosic viola players in the field of jazz and improvised music. Maneri has recorded with Cecil Taylor, Craig Taborn, Evan Parker, Matthew Shipp, Joe Morris, Joe Maneri, Gerald Cleaver, Tim Berne, Barre Phillips, Borah Bergman, Mark Dresser, William Parker, as well as solo and with his own trio, quartet, and quintet.
