The release of Matt Parker’s debut recording, Worlds Put Together (BYNK Records), provides a bracing introduction to the prodigious talents of the Brooklyn-based tenor saxophonist and composer. A Fort Lauderdale native, Parker came to New York in 1999 to attend the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. He spent two years with Maynard Ferguson and his Big Bop Nouveau Band, touring in the U.S. and abroad. Matt can be heard on the band’s M.F.
