Saxophonist Michael Eaton debuts his band at Cornelia Street in celebration of his new CD release, Individuation, on Destiny Records. The album features his New York ensemble with special guest, master saxophonist David Liebman. Programmatically inspired by concepts drawn from Jungian psychology, the music of Individuation integrates angular themes and propulsive modern jazz with intricate minimalist vamps, bracing freebop, Cageian prepared piano, and multi-layered open platforms.

The evening will showcase Eaton's quartet with pianist Brad Whiteley, bassist Daniel Ori, and drummer Shareef Taher, augmented with appearances by Jon Crowley on trumpet and Dorian Wallace on keyboard (for "two pianos, four hands" minimalism).
