Virtuoso bassist Morrie Louden’s recent CD “Time Piece”, on the Jazz Billboard Charts, was selected as one of the Top Ten Jazz Albums of the Year by the critics at Downbeat magazine. It's breathtaking to behold an instrument of this size submit completely to his command: from an apparent grazing of strings, a torrent of music; at other times, embracing it, he practically wrings a ballad out of it.
