Música in Motion celebrates the artistic interaction and mutual inspiration that flows between music composition and dance choreography with a special repertoire drawn from Arturo O’Farrill’s collaborations with noted dance companies and choreographers. This concert offers a rare opportunity to hear music composed for dance from a different perspective.

Arturo and the Orchestra will showcase music from "Palladium Nights", which was performed live on stage with Ballet Hispánico and from Alvin Ailey's "Open Door" (choreographed by Ronald K. Brown), including "All of the Americas" and “Vaca Frita”, off the GRAMMY Award-winning album, Cuba: The Conversation Continues. Also features are works commissioned by the Malpaso Contemporary Dance Company (Cuba), including the beautiful and lyrical "Despedida Suite," and compositions from the recently debuted “Dreaming with Lions”. Finally, the show presents for the first time in public, works that O’Farrill has recently completed for a new collaboration with Ronald K. Brown and his Evidence Dance....
