Nat Adderley Jr. brings the jazz and R&B goods, carrying on his famous jazz family lineage (uncle Cannonball Adderley and dad Nat Adderley Sr.) as well as his decades as the Musical Director for R&B icon Luther Vandross. His synthesis of the two related branches on the tree of black music, during Black Music Month, in collaboration with his former college roommate Jay Hoggard, promises the deep pleasure of soulful swing that will make your heart sing.

For over 40 years, Jay Hoggard has drawn on traditional and contemporary musical vocabulary to develop new directions for the vibraphone. He seamlessly blends jazz and gospel roots with African marimba rhythms. His performance repertoire represents the three B’s of the jazz tradition (Blues, Bop, Ballads) with original innovations.
