The New York City-based jazz ensemble Onyx Collective brings together musicians across disciplines to experiment through a live round robin improvisation

Onyx shows are unannounced yet impromptu affairs. You can find them performing in basement, at a cocktail lounge atop a hotel, on the street and in storefront. The cast of performers is interchangeable, as is the kind of music that they play. The Onyx Collective has previously performed and toured with artists Nick Hakim, Princess Nokia, Dev Hynes, Wiki and Kamasi Washington.
