The Apollo Theater Africa Now! and African Film Festival 30th Anniversary Celebration present the legendary Oumou Sangaré Oumou Sangaré, The Songbird of Wassoulou, returns to America for a one-night only special concert. Her presence will elevate the annual Africa Now! series which celebrates the best of todays African contemporary music. Sangarés work spans traditional Malian sounds and contemporary music from Africa and across the globe. She has collaborated with artists as diverse as Bela Fleck, Herbie Hancock, Seal, P!nk, and Jeff Beck, and has performed the world over. This concert marks her Apollo debut.
