WBGO brings listeners the most exciting artists of today, and we are proud to present Havana born Pedrito Martinez with his group on this Latin Jazz Cruise event. Guests will move to the beat, as The Pedrito Martinez Group has its roots planted firmly in the Afro-Cuban Rumba tradition and in the bata rhythms and vocal chants of the music of Yoruba and Santeria. WBGO captured his performance at the Newport Jazz Festival in 2012 (Listen here). We were in Newport again earlier this month dancing in the aisles to Pedrito’s group.
