PORTER CARROLL: As drummer and one of four singers, Porter Carroll Jr. helped make the hits that made Atlantic Starr and its amazing vocals, tight production and energetic stage performances famous worldwide in the 1970s and 1980s. Porter performed with them from the late seventies through the early eighties, contributing his musicianship to classic hits like Circles, Send for Me, Am I Dreaming, Let’s Get Closer, Touch a Four Leaf Clover and others. During that stretch, he was also the drummer on the Disco Classic “This Time Baby” for Jackie Moore.
