About
Rina is a jazz piano player originally from Japan.
She entered the prestigious Ellis Marsalis International Jazz Piano Competition 2018. There, she was awarded Second place of the competition, as well as the Nu Jazz Agency’s Chico & Lupe O’Farrill Award for Best Original Composition. Her recording was featured on WGBO in their Jazz Appreciation Month series. With a promising future ahead of her, Rina will be presenting her original compositions at the Williamsburg Music center joined by Tamir Shmerling (Bass) and Eviatar Slivnik (Drums).
