During the 1930 perhaps even earlier, Harlem was not the only Jazz scene. Brooklyn had one as well. Bedford Stuyvesant was one of the largest Jazz neighborhoods around. Bed Stuy held many venues housing jazz greats like Thelonius Monk, Lena Horn, Randy Weston, Miles Davis, Max Roach, Hank Mobley, Abbey Lincoln, plus others. Paramount Theatre located in Brooklyn among other theaters held major Jazz Concerts. Harlem came to Brooklyn Bed Stuy. Everything eventually changed, and jazz club fizzled out in favor of a different music generation. Uptown and Midtown changed as well.
