Saxophonist Russ Nolan has been hailed by the New York Times as “…a tenor saxophonist of rhythmic and harmonic fluency.” His latest release Tell Me (Rhinoceruss Music) seamlessly integrates post-bop jazz with the traditions of rock and R&B and features Art Hirahara on piano, Michael O’Brien on bass, Brian Fishler on drums, and special guest/producer Zach Brock on violin. Brock performs a separate set with his band as part of the bill.
