Simultaneous Translation presents contemporary interpretations of works by Himalayan, Tibetan and American music-masters. From Kunga and Lhamo (Tibetan opera) arias to Sun Ra and Ellington, listeners will be pleased to hear a wide-ranging program that explores the sonic connections between jazz and blues and the folk traditions and modern popular music of the Himalayas and Tibet.
