Sirius + Caine -- “String Theories”
Uri Caine, the Grammy-nominated pianist and composer, will be joining New York-based Sirius Quartet for a genre-bending performance at ShapeShifter Lab on Friday, January 25, 2013.
The program includes the Boston premiere of Caine’s String Theories piano quintet, written for the Sirius Quartet. The concert will also feature original music by members of Sirius Quartet including works by Fung Chern Hwei, Gregor Huebner and Jeremy Harman, as well as some free improvisations by the 5 musicians.
