Songwrights Apothecary Lab at River to River Festival at The Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural & Educational Center

Songwrights Apothecary Lab is a live installation where esperanza spalding and her fellow songwrights, researchers and mentors will be creating original music. The creation of this original music, which the lab will share with visitors during the festival, will continue spalding's exploration over the past years of how musicians might meaningfully incorporate therapeutic practices and knowledge into their work.

The space will be open for “shareback” sessions in which the public will be welcomed and able to experience the lab. On June 18, the lab will open for audiences to hear music being created in the lab as well as conversations between the musical collaborators and the researchers....

Shareback sessions run 30 minutes. June 18th's matinee runs 90 minutes.
