The sonic project that is Tarbaby was conceived in a studio session between five of the most multi-dimensional musicians in jazz in the Summer of 2006 - pianist Orrin Evans, drummer Nasheet Waits, bassist Eric Revis, and tenor saxophonists J.D. Allen and Stacy Dillard. Tarbaby is an expandable, organic situation where like-minded musicians they invited to participate. With the trio of Evans, Revis, and Waits as the foundation we strive to augment the group into myriad incarnations. There are no limitations, this is just the beginning.
