About
Led by respected trumpeter and Chair of Jazz Studies, Terell Stafford, the Temple University Jazz Band regularly participates in nationwide and international festivals and is a frequent award winner at the annual Villanova Jazz Festival. TUJB has worked with numerous jazz artists on stage, including Wynton Marsalis, The Vanguard Orchestra, Slide Hampton, Dizzy Gillespie, and Dr. Billy Taylor. For this concert, they will be joined by two masters – Jon Faddis, protégé of Dizzy Gillespie, and Jimmy Heath of the legendary Heath Brothers.
