The Highliners is a new jazz quintet dedicated to exploring a wide range of material, from the American Song Book to deep-cut classic jazz, and innovative spins on classic rock.

Founded by vocalist Melissa Fogarty and saxophonist Debra Kreisberg, The Highliners' creative direction reflects its members’ individual roots in Latin, klezmer, funk, rock, opera and beyond, and cultivates an original perspective on vintage repertoire, while also dissolving traditional boundaries.

All established players on the New York City music scene and beyond, the individual versatility of these musicians is evident in evident in performances with such groups as Groupo Latin Vibe, Los Mas Valientes, Natalie Merchant, Jazz Musette, Sheryl Bailey, Metropolitan Klezmer, and New York City Opera.
