The Silent Six is the band that plays for Art Spiegelman and Phillip Johnston's 'intellectual vaudeville' show ‘Wordless!’. With Art, they have performed ‘Wordless!’ across the USA and around the world (the two most recent shows were at Comicópolis in Buenos Aires, and opening the 2016 London Jazz Festival at the Barbican Centre in the UK.
The music is redolent of Johnston's band Big Trouble in the 1990s, but features some of his newest compositions.
