Soon to be coming to you live from the newly-redecorated Leopold and Loeb Room high atop the Ethical Humanist Society in beautiful downtown Garden City, it’s time once again for The South Shore Syncopators to bring the music of the 1920s and 1930s vividly to life in their own unique and entertaining style.
“AIN'T CHA GOT MUSIC?”, is a musical program of songs both sweet and hot, from stage and screen and all places in-between. For your listening pleasure, the South Shore Syncopators have assembled some of the finest vocalists indigenous to Long Island and its surrounding environs all of whom are members of the Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company, along with the South Shore Syncopators, Long Island’s Premiere Dance Orchestra. Yes friends, the South Shore Syncopators, have put together a marvelous program with something for every taste and predilection. Hear songs originally recorded by Fanny Brice, Annette Hanshaw, Al Jolson, Bing Crosby and Eddie Cantor. Hear detailed transcriptions of instrumental numbers from Hal Kemp, Fletcher Henderson, Gus Arnheim and his Coconut Grove Orchestra and others....
