Bill Evans was not only a poet of the piano but also a major composer. Some of the world’s finest improvisers - including Joe La Barbera, a member of Evans’ important last trio – cover all aspects of Evans’ career from his trios, quintets, solo and duo playing, featuring such masterpieces as “Waltz for Debby” and “Interplay.” His ground-breaking Conversations with Myself and his distinctive conception of the American Songbook will also be explored.
