Award-winning jazz vocalist/pianist/arranger, Dr. Tish Oney, returns to the elegant Triad Theatre (212-362-2590) for her one-woman show: "Going My Way! The Songs of Jimmy Van Heusen." This acclaimed production honors the songwriting talents of one Syracuse native who penned hundreds of wonderful songs for film, Broadway and radio including the famous "Road To..." movies starring Bing Crosby and Bob Hope. Van Heusen also wrote many hit songs for Frank Sinatra and a large number of his compositions are now standards in the Great American Songbook, including "Darn That Dream," "It Could Happen To You," "Here's That Rainy Day," "Come Fly With Me," and "Swingin' On a Star." Dr. Oney has toured internationally and recorded extensively in the jazz genre and has taught vocal and instrumental jazz at several universities and colleges in the U.S. She was recently honored as the 2016 "Jazz Artist of the Year" by the SC Music Awards and is a recipient of the Diane Warren Award.
