A celebration of new music for percussion with influences from around the world featuring Tyshawn Sorey (drumset), Payton MacDonald, Susie Ibarra, Greg Beyer (Brazilian berimbau), and Andy Akiho with Mariel Roberts (steel pan and cello).
SONiC (Sounds of a New Century) a brand new festival of 21st century music by more than 100 composers age 40 and under, takes place @ 10 venues in New York from October 14 - October 22. Events range from a daylong marathon to a DJ/VJ night, to free symphony concert to collaborations between emerging choreographers and composers.
