Jazz at Lincoln Center's Family Concert explores the complexities of Latin jazz with GRAMMY® nominee Bobby Sanabria and his Multiverse Big Band in Rose Theater on February 9th. Sanabria is a leader in the Afro-Cuban, Brazilian and jazz fields as both a drummer and percussionist, and recognized as one of the most articulate musician-scholars of la tradición living today.

"Latin jazz is an art form that was born right here in New York City in 1939 with Machito and the Afro-Cubans at the Park Palace Ballroom," says bandleader Bobby Sanabria, "You'll have fun, learn about the history, and interact with the band.
