Whittney Marchelle

You may have heard Whitney Marchell Lead vocals on the Spike Lee production of State Farm Insurance. Along working with the great Quincy Jones Marchell gets in and out quickly in the studio wether it be using her 4 octave vocal range for background harmonies to Lead vocals. Her virbrato in total control to suit the producers needs. Ray Charles used her one day in

a session and said "you sing like a fish fresh of the sea !" Ike Turner picked them(included her sister Joanne Jackson) up for a session in a white Rolls Royce at first ever for Marchelle
of that kind of hospitality! Or you may hear her on Steve Turre's Spirits up above. Or see her on a video with Wyclefe John.

This lady has received several singer/songwriter awards. XM Satellite Radio's Maxx Myrick
compliments her new cd Me, Marsalis & Monk in his article Maxx House. Jazziz Magazine featured Marchelle when Dee Dee Bridgewater graced her stage singing a duet of" It Don't Mean A thing" with her. Big reviews in Dubia Live Magzine , Time out magazine Internationally
as well as several radio & TV reviews. Even though Marchelle has jammed with Wynton Marsalis on several occasions and at Stevie's Wonder's home she has not to this date actually worked with them but states it was one of the most exciting and learning experiences in her career.
