Wijo: A Celebration Of Women In Jazz at Soapbox Gallery

azz singer Allegra Levy returns to the stage to host a special one-night-only event In honor of Women's History Month. The Women in Jazz Organization will come to the Soapbox to honor and celebrate women in jazz throughout history. This night will be a Who’s Who among women in jazz, featuring a wide range of WIJO voices backed up by a powerhouse house band. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Women in Jazz Organization.

WIJO's Mission Statement:
Women In Jazz Organization intends to help level the playing field in Jazz, so that women and non-binary people have an equal opportunity to participate in and contribute to Jazz, leading to an improved and richer, more diverse, and more successful art form....
