Among other things, you need it for posting on your website, inclusion in CD liner notes and concert programs, and to pitch your work to a presenter. Publicists Elizabeth Dworkin and Susan Thames will outline elements for building a bio that will represent your career path, goals and priorities. Attendees are encouraged to bring their bios, laptops and/or pads and pencils to work on their bios during the workshop.

First Tuesdays, a free professional-development series for musicians and presenters, is offered from October through June by Chamber Music America in partnership with Saint Peter's Jazz Ministry and the Midtown Arts Commons.
